Packing, packing, packing

I have spent the last week packing and unpacking (mostly mentally) and I think we are traveling with only small bags. This is mostly because of the B&B in Amsterdam and the super steep stairs x 3 floors. I am trying packing cubes for the first time. I'm hoping this will help us not have to totally unpack at each point in our trip and sort out our dirty clothes. We are also trying AirBnB lodging and experiences for the first time in Amsterdam and London. The communication with everyone has been great and I am very excited about our places. Another level of concern this week has been the reports of a European heat wave hitting western Europe, especially Paris. Two years ago in Rome, I thought we were going to die from the heat, but we are Texans and can handle it. Still, I'm hoping for cool weather in the Baltic. In checking the weather this week, It looks like lots of highs around 70, so that sounds wonderful! We leave in only four days, so we have lots of packing, organizing, and getting the fur kids ready. I will post again once we reach Amsterdam and are hopefully relaxed from our direct flight and main cabin extra seats. Let's get this show on the road!

It is almost go time!

After almost two years of planning, the great European quest of 2019 is almost upon us. We will start in Amsterdam, embark on a 13 day Baltic cruise on Brilliance of the Seas, then fly to London for a few days, and end with a Eurostar trip under the Chunnel to Paris. We will be adding six new countries to our list and lots of new adventures. I am making it a goal to blog all along the way to help me remember what we do and to keep family and friends informed. Final shopping, packing, and preparing is currently underway.
