Windy and rainy day at sea
Day 5 - Sea day while sailing towards Copenhagen. It seems that our luck with beautiful weather has ended for the moment. We awoke to a very rocky ship and 55 mph winds to the side of the ship. Still, happy it was a sea day and not a port day. We took advantage of the sea day by resting a good bit and exploring the ship. The exterior areas were closed off, but we found plenty to do. We started the day with our Meet and Mingle for Cruise Critics. If you are interested in cruising and having found that sight, you need to check it out. great information and I love the roll call forums. After that, we just walked, shopped a little, and took a nice afternoon nap. In the evening, it was formal night. I have heard some people say that formal night and the anxiety over what to wear has kept them from cruising. Please do let it sway you. Last night it seemed that anything would work. Some people were in very high end dresses and tuxedos, but I also saw a few guys in khakis and a t shirt. Also, the food was incredible. I had beef tenderloin and it was wonderful. Austin always ordered the curry, which is a little secret. They always make a vegetarian and non-vegetarian curry each day for the crew. It is not on the menu, but you can ask for it. He usually goes with the vegetarian curry and this one was wonderful. After dinner, the skies had cleared and so we walked around the outside of the ship a bit. Around 10pm, we went to bed. I woke up around 2am and there was still light outside. I guess as long as we are in the Baltic, it may never be completely dark at night.
