Goodbye Amsterdam, Hello Baltic
Day 4 - Today we left Amsterdam and started on our Baltic Cruise. It was sad to say goodbye to Harm as we left our BnB, but I think we may see him again in the future. He was a wonderful host and we loved our little home. We used Uber to go from the BnB to the port and it was cheap and easy. We were dropped right at baggage check in at 10am. We proceeded through the lines, got our sea pass card, and were in the waiting room to board the ship in about 15 minutes. Shortly after that, we boarded Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas.

It was certainly the earliest I have ever been on a ship on boarding day, 10:45. We found a place by Park Cafe in the Solarium to wait while our room was being prepared. At 1:30, we were able to get to our room and meet our room attendant for the week who seems wonderful. I have to admit I crawled into my super comfy bed and crashed until it was time for the muster drill at 4:15. After muster, we like to walk the ship a bit because the elevators back to the rooms are always crazy. We found the Latte-tudes Cafe which is one of our favorite places for a quick snack or milkshake. Today was a chilly and cloudy day with some drizzle, so I was very thankful for all the beautiful weather we had in Amsterdam while sightseeing.

Next thing we knew, the ship set sail from Amsterdam. When the ship leaves port, it travels down a large canal (maybe a river?), through a lock, and then out to sea. I had never been through a lock, so that was very interesting. At 8pm, we had dinner in Chops Grill, which was delicious! I had that largest shrimp I have ever seen. I highly recommend Chops.

After dinner, we fell asleep quickly. I guess we were exhausted after all that sightseeing. Tomorrow is a day at sea to relax a bit.
