Tromso and clear skies

First, let me say that sleeping with the sun up is hard. Even with the curtains drawn, you could tell it looked like 4pm outside. Sleep last night was very, very difficult and I really don't know how people who live here do it. Winters with no sun would be even harder. Still, we had big plans today and had to get up and after it. We booked a tour through Viator with Wandering Owl. The tour was advertised as small group of no more than 8 people. Unfortunately we ended up with way more people and crammed on a minibus with absolutely no room to spare. On top of that, the air conditioner did not work and it was a very warm day for Tromso. Dad's claustrophobia kicked up and he decide he couldn't take it and bailed before we got out of the parking lot. Still, Austin and I powered on. We drove out to some nearby fjords an enjoyed beautiful views and even a beach. We had a nice picnic while sitting on some huge boulders waterside. Our tour guide and driver were truly wonderful and did their best to make us comfortable with the warmth on the bus. Outside of the bus, it was perfect weather. Clear blue skies and temperature around 60 is hard to beat. We even saw people swimming. I just put my toes in the water and found it very chilly.
We are calling it an early night tonight. Tomorrow is a long day in our northernmost point. It should be a fun day!
